INOC-DBA – don’t think we have that set up yet ... I’d love to make that happen
Baylor University, Waco, TX – Undergrad Campus, not medical school
AS 30674
Network Administrator – responsible for campus routing from provider edge through core and distribution. I have created a library of network monitoring utilities over the years, without quite making the leap to a fully automated “sniper” script for darking bad actors on our border edge. I don’t have a ready-to-publish resume or CV of accomplishments, but I can tell some stories of some of the automation I’ve done in Baylor’s network (mostly perl, but some C as well). In fact, I’m currently attending NANOG 56 in Dallas. What’s the best way for me to reach out to nsp-sec members while I’m here? I’m very interested in learning more about automating the defense of Baylor’s network via Quagga nodes in our iBGP space, as well as sharing Baylor’s dark net logs to gain access to other entities’ dark net logs.
My colleague Keith_Schoenefeld at baylor.edu<mailto:Keith_Schoenefeld at baylor.edu> has many contacts in the information security field.
I can spin up a new PGP key, if that’s still a requirement. It’s been a while since I regularly used PGP or GPG, so I don’t think I can easily come up with my old keyring.
Thank you for considering my request to join the list. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Regards,
Jeff
