I've worked with Jeff on multiple occasions. We've not worked on incidents, but on a lot of the stuff he's mentioned in his request and on modernizing their network to better respond to both the security and networking needs of a R&E entity.
He's a trustworthy and sharp guy and seems to be the go-to guy for anything to happen at Baylor, both security and networking. I'm not sure that vouch is enough for the admission, but I would personally trust him.

I have created a library of network monitoring utilities over the years, without quite making the leap to a fully automated “sniper” script for darking bad actors on our border edge. I don’t have a ready-to-publish resume or CV of accomplishments, but I can tell some stories of some of the automation I’ve done in Baylor’s network (mostly perl, but some C as well). In fact, I’m currently attending NANOG 56 in Dallas. What’s the best way for me to reach out to nsp-sec members while I’m here? I’m very interested in learning more about automating the defense of Baylor’s network via Quagga nodes in our iBGP space, as well as sharing Baylor’s dark net logs to gain access to other entities’ dark net logs.
