I'm a ported Nextel sub, and I didn't notice it, but that's not impossible.

Based on my jackleg knowledge of cell networks, and the slim amount of
detail in that piece, I'm going to infer they neglected to port those subs
to new Sprint Home Location Registers, and then turned the old ones off.

That or the LIDB; not sure which.  Which will almost certaintly leak...
