And that's all well and good, but they *can't legally do that*.

FiOS fiber is installed and owned *by a non-regulated subsidiary*, *explicitly
(I believe they're on record) so that they will not have to provide equal
access to it*.

I'm pretty sure the wireline company can't sub out the voice service to
the non-reg... but I am not now, nor have I ever been... a lawyer.
