There's also lobbying groups (funded by companies like The Weather 
Channel and Accuweather) that are constantly pushing for legislation 
that will remove public access to everything generated by the NWS and 
funnel it strictly through the aforementioned companies (for a small-ish 
fee, I'd imagine)
