[outages] AT&T Outages in TX, NE, IL, etc.

Shame on AT&T for committing to have learned their lesson from Katrina for having single points of failure bringing down their entire network.

It's that exact reason that I still maintain alternate providers and modes of communications.

Wireless still isn't a mission-critical service no matter what anyone says.

Governor JBE is reporting it is due to a flooded switch location on Choctaw in BR. ATT is reportedly bringing in equipment from 'out of state' to attempt to restore service.

If your friends have internet, they should be able to access Google Voice, Skype, WiFi calling, etc.

Good luck out there.

I am seeing 50% or greater packet loss across wireline (DSL/broadband) services and AT&T wireless services across multiple circuits in TX, NE, OH, and IL.

Are others seeing any similar behavior? I am seeing reports across hundreds of locations. Thanks!
