The Salesforce Technology Team has resolved a network issue impacting communication to North American instances. The problem began on January 13, 2016, at 19:27 UTC and impact was cleared as of 20:28 UTC. There was a second period of impact from 21:09 UTC to 21:16 UTC. During these times, customers may have experienced intermittent errors, slow performance, or an inability to log into the Salesforce service. SalesForce appears to be suffering major degradation of their NA instances. According to them there is a major backbone issue.

 

Anyone have any more information?
