[rbak-nsp] Signing off (was: SE100 IPv6 PPPoE woes)

A while back, I joined the list and asked questions about the SE100
being used for IPv6 PPPoE termination point.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a definitive answer either way (sorry).

Couple of things have happened and in the interest of keeping the
archive complete I'll report and then sign off the list.

The problem was that, as the SE100 is the MTU bump in the pipe
(native, 1500-MTU in, PPPoE, 1492-MTU out), the SE100 would not
send PMTU messages and hence the IPv6 tunnel is a PMTU blackhole.

I was finally able to contact someone at Ericsson who at least knew
about the existance of the product (the main activity of Ericcson in NL
is PBX software development). It was unsure if this was a known problem.
Thanks, Jan, for your help.

The ISP was able to confirm the problem and it has been submitted
to Ericsson as bug. I don't have the ID, sorry.

For us, the ISP offered us to move us to a native ethernet connection,
so we'll have 1500-MTU IPv6 connectivity and we're no longer terminated
on the SE100.

I'll direct mailman to unsubscribe me in a few days but, for the archive,
wanted to report first. Thanks, all, for the responses and the support.

Geert Jan
