[rbak-nsp] Adding 10G module to an SE600

Jeff,

I see no issue with your adding a 10G line card to your SE600.

The XCR4's have plenty of horsepower and the backplane of the SE600 can easily accommodate the 10G mod. I suggest the 4-Port 10G mod to give you more flexibility.

Please let me know if you need more info on the module.

Hi there,

We have an SE600 that is well outside the support contract and I was wondering if I am able to add a 10G line card? Our system is running SEOS-11.1.2.5-Release with 2 x xcrp4-base cards, there is also a single 5 x 1G line card installed.

Thanks,
Jeff

But still, if Ericsson will not provide any new software update, no Multiven will be able to provide it too...

And what about hardware then? If end of life means what it suppose to mean then no new hardware will be available on the market. So any new needed line cards or i case of any failures we're dependent only on second hand market :( How can Multiven provide hardware support when no new hardware is manufactured ?

PS. Is this confirmed information ? I can't find it on ericsson web page nor i can understand it becouse it is quite mature platform with good views for many next years.

Best regads,
