All the Cisco folks here are currently nsp-sec members, however, that's
going to change. Cisco is going to have to remove some people from nsp-sec
due to the new rules, and if I'm not one of 'em this time, then in 6 months,
I'll have to rotate off and give someone else a shot at it. That's necessary
for continued growth of other team members on PSIRT, I won't be doing this
job forever (as you all know, it's a bit of a burnout position) and we need
to continue to let those folks build relationships.
If you aren't happy about this side-effect of the new nsp-sec rules, please
let the nsp-sec moderators know. I know that this group is one of the groups
that is worried about the growing lurker membership on nsp-sec, so I'm cool
with whichever way things go. If I am removed from nsp-sec, it'll be you
guy's call whether or not to pull me off of here at that point. You'll
always still be able to call me if you need something.
