I like Cisco and Adtran (TA908/TA908E), but another good option (and perhaps a better answer for the “small market” requirement) is the Edgemarc 4508E:

I know the support team well and they are small and quite responsive.
AdTran is catching up in some ways but the SIP ALG in the Edgemarc may be the best out there. This is also the only option where you can run tcpdumps right on the device for troubleshooting. The packet debug features in the Adtran and Cisco just don’t match the versatility of tcpdump. The new Cisco capture mechanisms in 12.4T are aiming to compete but they are very knew and likely somewhat buggy.
This is also probably the least expensive of the listed options.

Subject: [VoiceOps] CPE IAD recommendations
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a small market Integrated Access Device (IAD) that is capable of being a SIP Trunk endpoint with Broadsoft?
I have a few points of criteria that we are looking at:
1. Supports up to 8 FXS ports.
2. Compatible with keyed-system PBX's.
3. Prefer a manufacturer with a strong, responsive support team.
4. Price: around $500.
Thanks,
Eric
