Domain Registrations used to be a monopoly via Network Solutions. Now Domain Registrars are a highly competitive free market. Telcordia is another one that is ripe to fall in court, with their iron-fisted control of telephone number routing data and hidden pricing metrics for what is in-essence public domain data.
