[VoiceOps] SIP Compatible Door Phone

Could you just stick a small ATA like a linksys/cisco
SPA-2102 somewhere for the existing phone near the door
or a regular outside model newly purchased?
Just a thought... not everything has to be sip based when
you could just use a small ATA.
