Just for everyone's benefit......you are referring to a SOA provider that
can do the inputs into the NPAC LNP database for you......correct?

You will need to have access to a system that allows you to port. Either a
3rd party or directly with Neustar. Once you have access to a "system you
can pull information on a specific TN as to what SPID they belong to. Then
you will know what company to talk to, to get their ordering requirements.

I have a client that is just getting into porting and he asked me how to go
about gathering the information needed to port a number to them. I have the
basic concept of it but haven't really got involved in doing it so I'm not
sure how most CLECs gather the information they need to port a number to
themselves. I know the LECs LSR system usually has a lot of information
about existing services so I told him to look there, but what do most of you
that actually do porting use to pull the information you need on the service
provider that you want to port away from?
