If you've got enough speed dials and the right gear, you can use non-dialable DTMF digits (A-D) to hide this kind of thing from autoattendants, etc.

This has happened to one of our customers.  They liked the idea of being able have management call in in an emergency to use the system.
They have now decided to us an off the wall extension to do this from the main attendant (normal extensions 3xx and paging extension 8472 for example).

I've just learned that this paging amp has an RJ11 input, so a simple ATA on auto-answer should be fine.
