you can cheat and use an SRP PA as an oc-12 PA :) if you have a
SRP connection on both sides, connect side A of one side to side B
of the other side, and leave the other connection unconnected.
so the SRP ring would be wrapped on one side, but you are still up
and running and passing traffic. one way to get OC-12 POS connectivity
without using an OC12 POS PA.

however the SRP PA won't work in the 7400 as it's dual-wide and we only
have 1 PA slot in the 7400.
