I know you already have a system for panic, but if you wanted to change to a
new system, we are using Berbee's InformaCast. We setup a service that if
they press a button, it will multicast to all phones you want an audio and
text message. IE. security, admin, and supervisors and not the rest of the
phones.

Try changing the Call supervision method to drop Loop Current on the 224
Port. I'm not sure if that will work for you, but it has worked for us with
our overhead paging systems..

Ok. Here's what's going on. We have Panic Buttons in all of our Judges
chambers and on the bench. With our old PBX phone system, the button was
pressed, it sent a signal to dispatch, dispatch picked up the phone, and it
turned off the "alarm". We hooked all of these panic buttons up through a
VG224 analog gateway. When the button is pressed, it does call dispatch,
dispatch picks up the phone and it quits ringing. When the operator puts
the phone back on hook, it starts to ring from the panic button again. The
only way for me to shut it off, is to reset the gateway. Does this make
sense to anyone? It doesn't to me. Does anyone know of any panic buttons
that are known to work with VoIP? Thanks.
