[cisco-voip] Fax Machines

Version 4.0(2a)sr1a.  The long distance codes are on the PRI from the Telco.
They are not a problem.  We asked that they do this.  The problem is that I
can dial a number from a phone and it goes through.  I can plug a butt set
into my patch panel going to the 224, dial a number and it goes through.  I
can fax from some fax machines, but not others.  It makes no sense.  All are
configured the same, and all can receive faxes.

What version of CCM are you using? 
 
If 3.3(4) or $.1(x) do you have Force Authorization Codes (FAC) enabled on
the Route Patterns? 
 
If you don't have FAC enabled then you will need to determine what is asking
for the long distance code. The GW would not be the problem.

Hello.  I have several (about 24) fax machines on a VG224.  A good many of
them can not fax out long distance.  All of the ports have the same device
pool, CSS, etc.  All DNs are on the same partition.  I can dial all of these
numbers from a regular VoIP telephone configured in the same partition,
device pool, CSS, etc.  When we dial long distance, it prompts us for a long
distance code.  The fax machines are being prompted for that code, but then
they get a fast busy.  I can reset the gateway, and it might work once, but
then not again?  We just replaced the Vg224, thinking that it was bad.  No
