[cisco-voip] "Not Registered" vs. "Unknown" on Gatewayinterface...

Unknown for a device that does register with CM means CM hasn't even
had that device try to register. Not Registered would mean we've at
least seen a registration attempt from the device.

Thanks.

The gateway in question is MGCP with four PRIs, two are up, one shows
'not registered' and one shows 'unknown'...

I originally thought that if the CCM initiated a reset to the device
and it came back as not found, it would be 'unknown,' and if it was
found, but down, it would be 'not registered'

(it seems to make sense)

But the device in question, all four PRIs were up, two are down now,
one is not registerd, the other is unknown... So, I have to rethink
my theory.

register since the last starting of services either by
reboot or stopping/starting services.

I haven't really seen "Unknown" on objects that
register unless there is something going on with the
servers, communications between servers, issues with
services, databases, etc.

I kind of wish H.323 gateways displayed something
other then "Not Found" so people didn't freak out that
something was broken.
