[cisco-voip] "more" button on phone templates?

We don't use abbreviated dialing - we just have users program their
speed dial keys and when capacity is reached on the face of the phone, a
"more" button appears, you press it and the speed dial list appears,
allowing you to dial any of your speed dial numbers.  This isn't a
common way of doing things?

The "more" button is for softkeys, not lines.  Speed Dials that do  
not show up on the phone are accessed using the AbbrDial feature.
