This is not a Vista thing, this is an issue in communicator and the way
it works

You are fighting a loosing battle trying to get this to work, we have
Dell's here and had exactly the same issues.

We have to change the registry every time a Nic changes it's IP and then
communicator will Launch, We went through Cisco Tac with this.

Good luck!

I am running CIPC 2.1.3 on both 64-bit and 32-bit Vista with no problems

My customer is running IPC 2.1.3 now, and still has the issues.

It seems related to the notebook/docking sation model, as now they have
another brand of notebooks (Dells) and those do not have issues.

The affected notebooks are HP NC6400, with docking stations HP EN488AA.
Those notebooks do not have an "undock" function under Vista, and the
users just push a lever to undock the computer.

Has anyone ran into something similar?

Greetings,

Ariel

Try upgrading to 2.1.3, I run Vista and have no problems.
