[cisco-voip] Set up a new Phone Service

Tammie,

Make sure the IP phone agent service is running on the IPCC server.
Also make sure the sure the service URL is pointing to the Publisher.
Since my only IPCC experience is with the CCIE lab I've only dealt with
a co-resident install of IPCC on the Publisher. If you have a separate
IPCC box I would guess the service URL would point to it instead of the
Publisher, but I'm not sure. I'm sure someone else here knows the
answer to that one. ;)

Keith,

It is now listed under services on my phone but when I click on it it
says "host not found". Is there something else I need to do? Thanks
again for the great help!

You need to subscribe the service to the phones that will be used by the
agents and have a user account associated with the phones along with the
ICD extension selected in the device association as well. This is
assuming you already have IPCC integrated with CCM and configured.

My experience with IPCC is strictly what is related to the CCIE voice
lab (just scheduled attempt number 3 today) so my experience is limited
to the basic integration and basic configuration of the ICD and AA
scripts...

Hope this helps.

Wow, that's great - thank you!

I have that setup now what do I have to do to enable this to work on
some phones?

Subject: [cisco-voip] Set up a new Phone Service

I would like to set up my system so some users can log into IPCC via the
phone instead of the Desktop Client. I see it's possible by adding the
IP Phone Agent but cant figure out what the Service Information should
be (ex: Service URL) to get it set up.

Thanks for any help
