I checked the POST codes info on CCO, and nowhere is a red led ever
mentioned. Anyway.. it's unreliable, console sometimes works, will boot (was
even able to upgrade IOS to latest release this switch), will run a few
minutes and then reboot (no errors given on the console), go into "disco
mode". Might reboot later on (timing between reboots doesn't appear to be
consistent).
So RMA it shall be.
