I'm trying to setup a backup connection using a GRE tunnel over a seperate
ethernet network.
For the tunnel I have:
Router A:
interface Tunnel0
ip address 209.81.1.33 255.255.255.252
no ip directed-broadcast
ip mtu 1500
tunnel source W.X.Y.Z
tunnel destination A.B.C.D
Router B:
interface Tunnel0
ip address 209.81.1.34 255.255.255.252
no ip directed-broadcast
ip mtu 1500
tunnel source A.B.C.D
tunnel destination W.X.Y.Z
The tunnel comes up and OSPF on the 2 routers exchanges routes.
Then, to test it, I unplug the primary net connection (a DS3).
After about 10 seconds, the tunnel dies. Then after another 5 seconds,
the tunnel is re-established.
The tunnel (and OSPF between the two routers) just bounces up and down
forever.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks,
Joe
