Just found this thread while researching my own problems with DS3 and Cisco
PA-T3 cards. I have a microwave radio provided DS3 between two buildings
connected to a PA-T3 card in a 7206 router on one end and a PA-T3 in a
Flex-wan module in a 6509 switch on the other side. I have had ongoing
problems with the link dropping, carrier transitions, CRC errors, etc. But
the radio statistics said it was running error free. There is very little
useful configuration information for these PA-3T cards and Cisco TAC was no
help. So I have been making configuration changes by trial and error to see
what improves the situation. The point of all this is to let you know that I
found setting both cards to "framing bypass" has greatly improved the
interface error statistics.
