I have a 7513 router. The router has some interfaces
3 HIP controllers (3 HSSI).
3 FSIP controllers (24 Serial).
1 FEIP controller (2 FastEthernet).
There are many packet loss at the FastEthernet interface.
The result of "sh cont cbus" for the interface is as follows.
slot8: FEIP, hw 2.2, sw 20.06, ccb 5800FFA0, cmdq 480000C0, vps 8192
software loaded from system
FLASH ROM version 160.5, VPLD version 2.2
FastEthernet8/0, addr 0060.8370.a000 (bia 0060.8370.a000)
gfreeq 48000130, lfreeq 48000260 (1536 bytes), throttled 100
rxlo 4, rxhi 123, rxcurr 120, maxrxcurr 123
===================================
txq 48000268, txacc 4800010A (value 79), txlimit 79
FastEthernet8/1, addr 0060.8370.a001 (bia 0060.8370.a001)
gfreeq 48000130, lfreeq 48000270 (1536 bytes), throttled 0
rxlo 4, rxhi 123, rxcurr 0, maxrxcurr 0
txq 48000278, txacc 48000112 (value 0), txlimit 79
A guy told me the rxhi is insufficient. So I decreased MTU of
a HSSI interface from 4470 to 1500 and rxhi was increased to 123
(rxhi was 99 before the decrease of MTU of Hssi).
But rxhi is still insufficient.
Could you let me know how to increase "rxhi" with a configuration
change? If there is no solution with configuration change,
please let me know how to solve this problem.
