RCA Radio Marine AR-8712

Hello Glowbuggers,

Can anyone out there give me any info on a RCA Radio Marine AR-8712
direction finding set? This device seems to cover 100 Kcs to 3400 Kcs and
has a loop on the top for DFing. I would like to know any background info
that anyone might have.
