Good grief! Clearly the latest in the continuing onslaught against our
language, designed to obfuscate true meanings even further, and to
confuse even more the already confused speakers of said language!
NETHER: An adjective, from the Old English "neothera." (See how it
already has been corrupted in a mere 1200 years or less?) Meaning lower
or under, and particularly referring to the nether world, Hades or
Hell...and now, here we are making a noun of it that has absolutely no
connection whatever to the original meaning, and at the same time adding
yet another word with the same spelling but two totally diferent
meanings (as if we needed another of these fiendish things!)
Let us herewith and forever commit this heinous contrived word to the
NETHERmost regions as it so richly deserves!!!
