Need info on PANADAPTORS

Hi gang,

I have never operated such a device (in fact, I've never seen one but in
pictures!) and have only read a bit about them, but not with enough detail.
I need information about panadaptors, specially their functions,
resolution, operation, which ones are most used among Boatanchors users,
their pros and cons, usefulness, ... Summing up, anything about them and
your experiences :-)!. I'm working on a project which involves 'emulating'
a panadaptor and I want to know how close I am of a 'real' one, and if I
can improve my design adding functions. Of course, once I finish with my
work, you will get a full report about it, as I think it could be
interesting for all of us.
