QST is wrong - please note (CX)

     We have always appreciated QST's listing of "CX" - the Classic
Radio Exchange, as they have done nearly the entire twenty-plus years
we have been doing it -- BUT --

     ...somehow in the latest (February 99) issue they made a signifi-
cant typo on the starting time of CX, listing it as 0000 UTC...

     THIS IS IN ERROR!!

     "CX" - the Classic Radio Exchange contest -- starts at 1900 UTC
and ends nine hours later at 0400 UTC - or in simpler terms it
runs from 1500 to midnight Eastern Standard time, same as always;
12 noon to 9 PM on the west coast. Mickey's big hand... etc. ;)

     So thank you QST for the coverage; and for everyone note and
correct ther error.

     Which does NOT mean, of course, that you cannot operate the
classic rigs any other time. Just that for contest purposes the
above times apply.

     73,

...and that is in just TWO WEEKS, the week after Super Bowl - so you
still have time to get it all together!
