Anyone ever heard of a EF Johnson 6&2M Transmit Converter?

Hi Ray -
The 6N2 used a 5894 which is a kind of "upgraded" 829B. The 5894 was
"tubular" shape, and 40W plate dissipation. The 829B was 28W plate
dissipation. I bet there were a lot of 829B's use in the old 6N2's
though! Surplus 829B's at $1.00 or less vs. a 5894 at probably $10
each. What's a little plate dissipation in a Ham rig?!?! Had a 6360
driver.
The basic unit was crystal controlled, but there was also a "6N2 VFO"
to go with it! Boy they thought of everything!
