Hi,
I have a SX28 that I bought last year to restore, but have run out of
time and desire. It is an SX28, not an SX28A and lights up when plugged
in. I have cleaned it up a bit, but not connected antenna or speaker as
those connections in the back of the Radio need to be repaired. The
phenolic material that the connectors are attached to have been broken.
Probably from pushing the Radio against the wall during storage. I bought
it locally in Dallas and was told that it was in the Garage for over a
year, but worked before it was placed there. It has a Broken Bandswitch,
but all other knobs are OK. Meters are good and front panel is pretty
clean. Cabinet has some scratches and a small dent on top lid, where
someone dropped a tool or something. Lid opens and closes fine. All in all
it is a good platform for restoration. Let me know if your interested and
I will be happy to answer any questions. The Price is $225. Trades are
not out of the question. Would like to find a local buyer, Dallas/Ft.
Worth or vicinity as this is a very heavy Radio and would cost $$ to pack
and ship. Thanks .
Emile, W5EMI
