Looking for RME 4300 information

Bob:
I have a 4 page original sheet on the 4300, it has tube layout, specs and
operation, but no schematic.
The biggest problem with the tuning dial is extra drag from the tuning
capacitor, and any oil on the drive. It is a friction planetary drive with
steel balls, and there must NO oil or grease anywhere inside the drive.
Clean it with a solvent like alcohol and get it squeaky clean and dry, and
then re-assemble. Some versions had screws behind the tuning knob that
adjust the loading on the drive balls, make sure they are not to tight.
I have several 4350A's and VHF126 converters and 4301 SSB adapter and 4300
speakers. Also a 6900 with matching speaker that needs soem work, maybe
someday.
