Need a Antenna

Full sized yagi antennas for 40 meters get pretty
large. There are quite a number of different designs
for yagi antennas that cover various bands including
monoband (made for a single amateur radio band) and
others that cover 2 or more bands. If bought
commercially they can range new from around $100 to
over $1000.

Now "post" does not equate to any known type of
antenna. I am "assuming" that you mean a vertical
antenna. Again, there are all sorts of commercial
designs that run from about $100 up to almost $1000.

I definitely suggest that you get a copy of the ARRL
Antenna Manual and study it for a while. In fact, I
suggest both a current edition and one of the older
editions from the 1960s or 1970s since there is
information in the older editions that is not in the
current edition.
