It looks like Heathkit manuals are no longer available for download on BAMA or any other sites. Copyright issues.

John, I know you mean well but - What he bought was not a good
copyright. Heath gave up those rights to the copyrights over the
years by not "vigorously" defending them and by allowing the free
copying of them. They did nothing.
Evidently he bought some papers and file cabinets. If the owners who
sold them represented them as copyrighted material, then they were
misrepresenting the item. The buyer should get a good attorney and
get his money back.
What he is allowed to do is to copy the prints and manuals he bought
and sell them if he wants to. He is not allowed to claim copyright
to prevent others from doing the same.
Because of Heath's allowing the free copying of their material, BAMA
and all of us did have the right to copy them and do with them what we did.
