[Milsurplus] Bugs From Another World...

Some years ago, when I had a bunch of aircraft and avionics parts stored in
a 40' sea container, I ran across a big scorpion. I shoo'ed it into a five
gallon plastic bucket, and left him in there. This was in May, in Phoenix.
I entered the container again late in August (for the first time since May)
and the scorpion was stil alive and nasty as ever. No food, no water and
temperatures that had to exceed 140F during the day. I'd say the scorpion
wins the survival contest!

Was the spider alive or dead? I doubt that any fumigant could get into a
Zip-Lock or heat sealed bag.
