More Than I Can Chew?

What would you like to know? What the PA tube is?

In order to get a handle on the project, you shouls trace all the
components and wiring, and make a schematic diagram. If you don't know
what the original PA tube was, you should get a clue from the socket
type and the connections to the individual pins (once you have a
schematic). Then you can look into the tube manuals, like one used to
be at the end of the old ARRL Handbooks.
Your tubes there are a rectifier and the 6C5 crystal oscillator. If
you have a 5 pin socket for the PA and a separate plate lead, it's
most likely an 807 or 1625 - depending on the filament voltage. If
it's an octal socket, with no plate clip, it may be a 6L6. If there is
a plate clip, it could be a 6146 or 2E24.
