The R-45 didn't have a pilot light in the rear, Rick - it was a round 
2.5" movement, like the one on mine at 
http://aafradio.org/countermeasures/ARR-7.jpg.  Sounds like you have an 
original SX-28 or SX-28A meter - especially the warped plastic part, 
which is fairly common.  Is the bezel square?  I would imagine someone 
would need it - probably easier to find a home for than the R-45 meter.
