I agree with your comments.  We will attempt to make a jack strip or another solution.
But, the long term desire is to obtain an original pin jack strip from an old radio and install it on this radio.  Someone modified this radio with the installation of an octal socket.  We will plug this hole and develop both a long term and short term solution.  Please excuse me if you see me reposting for the pin jack strip from time to time.  Eventually, I hope to find an original.
