Hello,

Here are some contacts that may be of assistance in passing out the electronics texts you have:

Radio Club: http://www.northlandantiqueradioclub.com/

HAM Radio Mailing List: boatanchors at puck.nether.net

Bakken Museum: http://www.thebakken.org/

Museum of Broadcasting: http://www.pavekmuseum.org/

Museum of Innovation: charlesfbacon at novuminstitute.org

If you send something to the boatanchor mailing list, you may get an automatic response letter saying you need to join the group. Or your email may sail right through. If you do have to become a member, I would expect the auto reply would tell you how to do it. I have been a member so long that I no longer remember those details. In any event, the list does send an automatic membership notice every 30 days so you always will have the chance to remove your name(s) from it.

The charlesfbacon address is the one place that has generally answered all of my 'waste not, want not' notices to the boatanchor mailing list. He has never really bought anything from me, but he has always paid for packing/shipping.

Thanks for the chat today. I hope the above addresses yield some success for you.

Best Regards,

William

Hello Lisa,

Thank you for the additional details and for the extra scan of the shop. I hope I am not making too much extra work for you. I don't mind searching through boxes myself - that is half the fun of the hunt - so no need to put everything out on a table or anything like that. You will be busy enough with your sale without having to make special efforts for me.

My plan is to drive on over from Inver Grove Heights just after 12:00 noon, so I should be there on time.

Best Regards,

William

Hi William,

The address is 5516 Pompano Drive, Minnetonka. This is part of Beachside townhomes. Many homes in Beachside will be having garage sales tomorrow (they do this once a year). From the intersection of County Road 62 and Shady Oak Road, you go north about a mile to Sanibel Drive (Scoreboard Bar & Grill on the corner on the right). Turn right on Sanibel and then turn right on Pompano Drive. We're down about one block on the left side of the street.

We'll look in the shop for any other things that you may be interested in as well. Around 1:00 is fine. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Lisa

Hello Lisa,

Thank you for the quick response!

Yes, I would like to stop by your garage sale tomorrow but will not be able to get there until around 1:00 or so. I hope this is not inconvenient for you. Please let me know your address so I can get directions off the web.

Are there any other electronic items for sale besides the resistors and capacitors? I am always keeping my eyes open for vacuum tubes, transformers, meters, etc.

Thanks again for your help. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Best Regards,

William

Hi William,

My father was a lifelong ham radio operator who did lots of radio and TV repair. He left a meticulously labeled shop of unused parts. These are parts purchased up until the late 1970's and most have never been used. We never got rid of them because it seemed that people would have use for these since they are probably no longer available.

If you are interested in taking a look at these, we are having a garage sale on Saturday (tomorrow) as part of the Beachside townhome neighborhood garage sale (in Minnetonka near Highway 169 & Co. Rd. 62). It might be easier if you were to look at them. Would this be a possibility?

Lisa

** CRAIGSLIST ADVISORY --- AVOID SCAMS BY DEALING LOCALLY
** Avoid: wiring money, cross-border deals, work-at-home
** Beware: cashier checks, money orders, escrow, shipping
** More Info: http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams.html

Hello,

I am interested in the items you have listed in Craigslist. Can you provide some pictures or a general list of values for the resistors and capacitors? Are you selling them by the piece or the entire lot?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best Regards,

William
