Hi Erik,
if you dont need IPX dont configure it. You will need an IPX capable image o do
it anyway and from the error you see you dont currently have one anyway..
Up/Down means your router sees the plug in the wall but not whats on the other
side, you need to make sure the serial link is using the correct encapsulation
on both ends of the link .. this would depend on who and what your connected to
here.
