[nsp] VIP4 + gigE port adapter

My entrance router is a 7507 with a GE/IP+ and a SONET
OC-12 on a VIP4-80. It also has another VIP4-80 that 
hosts a pair of PA-FE-TX adapters.   Our SONET connection 
will soon be disappearing in favor of Gig-E services.  
I'd be interested in keeping the ol' 7507 around, 
especially if I could convert the VIP4-80 to the 
equivalent of another GE/IP+ for the cost of a PA-GE 
port adapter.

Does anyone know if I can do that?  I'm aware of the
performance limitations of the 7507 backplane.  My
question is whether I can pop out the OC-12 port adapter
and replace it with a PA-GE.  Has anyone done this and 
gotten it to work?
