Hello,
this is an ISP environment. The network runs OSPF, one single area for
the moment.
What is the best way to announce connected networks to the rest of the
area?
I see 3:
1. A global "network" statement for our /20
2. Specific "network" statements for each PtP /30, or customer subnet
3. A "redistribute connected" statement.
What are the pros and cons of each method?
Obvious pro for (1.) is that it's easy. One statement when you initially
configure the router, and you can forget about it. Are there any cons?
Obvious con for (2.) is that it need to be updated every time a customer
moves or goes away. Is there any pro?
Are there other solutions beyond those three?...
Vincent
