Looking for the smallest Cisco switch that support Jumbo frames for MPLS + dot1q use, been investingating
the 2970's but have a query that does not seem to be clearly answered in the marketing / spec papers:

Cisco states the following RE: the 2970 switches

"Configurable maximum transmission unit (MTU) of up to 9018 bytes (jumbo frames) for bridging on Gigabit
Ethernet ports, and up to 1546 bytes for bridging on Fast Ethernet ports "

So the question is: Does this mean they support up to 9018 bytes on the 10/100/1000 ports on the
2970G-24TS and if so does it support these frame sizes when said port is running at 100Mb/s?

Thanks
