If you're not married to Cisco a low-end Juniper like M7i or M10i would
do the job just fine.
Having said that, 6500s with Sup2/PFC2/MSFC2 worked well with a similar
configuration at my previous employer. Introducing MPLS into the picture
(and OSMs) decreased the stability significantly.
