%MLS_STAT-SP-4-IP_LEN_ERR: MAC/IP length inconsistencies Problem

The following error messages are reported by the switch:

   -

   %MLS_STAT-SP-4-IP_LEN_ERR: MAC/IP length inconsistencies

The following is an example of the console output you would see when this
problem occurs:

May 29 21:54:14 JST: %MLS_STAT-SP-4-IP_LEN_ERR: MAC/IP length inconsistencies
May 29 23:10:44 JST: %MLS_STAT-SP-4-IP_LEN_ERR: MAC/IP length inconsistencies

 Description

These messages indicate that packets were received where the IP-length does
not match the MAC-length of the packet. These packets are dropped by the
Supervisor Engine. There are no ill effects on the switch, as the packets
are being dropped, and the switch is reporting the message for informational
purposes. The cause of the issue is a device on the network that is sending
out bad packets. This may be due to a variety of issues ranging from bad NIC
cards, bad NIC drivers, bad applications, and so on. One method of stopping
the issue is to use a network sniffer, find the source that is sending out
the erroneous packets, and then resolving the issue with the source device
or application.

I have a 7609 with Sup720 as my internet gateway, i get this message like
once everyday, according to cisco.com <http://cisco.com> (above) its nothing
big, it says that its caused by a bad NIC on the LAN, however, this LAN
doesnt have PCs all routers and switches, should i worry, how should i
react, or just neglect it ?

Regards
