12.2 mainline doesn't know about LDP, it only runs TDP. So configure
your neighboring router to do tdp on the connecting interface (fa0/0),
and you're all set. 
You can select the protocol on a per-interface basis (you can even run
both on broadcast interfaces), so running TDP against this 12.2M
neighbor and LDP with all others works just fine.
