You could try this:

To remove/disable a VIP:
test rsp slot mask <slot>
test rsp stall

To reenable the VIP:
test rsp slot unmask <slot>
test rsp stall

I came across this command on this list some years ago and it seems to do
the job. I use to to remove and replace VIPs with a lower chance of the
7500 getting mad and reloading completely. You can use it to do a
single-slot reload since it essentially is power-cycling the individual
slot.

BTW, sorry if this was sent previously half-finished. My webmail client
seems to have glitched and I'm not sure what it did.
