Looking at the smaller switch platforms, the "end-of-life" thing for
the corresponding switch IOS versions usually comes more quietly - after
a given point in time, they'll just stop bringing out new releases
(except for security fixes).

So even if a switch is still build and sold, it might never see
"12.2" IOSes, or new features that people might hope for...
