I have just run into the same problem myself. (Timing is a bit of a
coincidence, if you're dealing with a 1721 in Hyderabad, India it's
the same one) The only solution I have been able to find it a
replacement of the hardware - I'm chasing the vendor at the moment but
language barriers are making it a slow process. It would appear from
the IOS shipped with the router that it had been sitting in a
warehouse for 18 months+ as that's when the IOS release concerned was
retired.
